WHAT DOES GOD SAY ABOUT GIVING - Scripture passages that talk about Christian Giving
FINANCIAL REPORT - We had a positive month in July. Revenue exceeded expenses by $1,209, which means that the deficit was reduced
by that amount. The reasons lie in the fact that our expenses were significantly under budget. Both property and salaries were well under budget.
For the month of July, revenues continued to lag behind the budgeted amount.
For comparison purposes, the first 7 months of 2010, the deficit is $4,794 while the first 7 months of 2009 showed a deficit of $8,340. So the
financial picture is better than a year ago.
CLIPBOARDS - These are to be found in the Narthex. Find them and sign up to serve as coffee hosts, readers, ushers and the like.
Participants are needed. There is a special need for volunteers during the summer. You help in filling these needs is greatly appreciated.

consider a gift to this fund. You may give through our congregations, Zion Lutheran Church. You may also give "on-line" at
www.elca.org/disaster or by calling 800-638-3522. Your prayers and donations are urgently needed! Giving through the ELCA insures that all
of your gift will be used for purposes of disaster relief. Absolutely no part of the donation is used for administrative overhead.
DIAL-A-RIDE TO ZION - $1.25 is the cost for a ride to Zion! Call Dial-A-Ride at 879-9742. Bus service starts at 8:00 a.m. on Sundays.
