The 15th ANNUAL WINTER CONCERT to benefit Habitat for Humanity will be held on Sunday, February 12,2012 at 2:00 PM at Zion
Lutheran Church, 1000 Washington Ave, Cloquet. An Apple Pie and Ice Cream Social will follow the concert. There is no specific charge for the

LENTEN WORLD HUNGER FUNDRAISER - "Buck-a-Chick".  During the coming season of Lent, Zion will have the opportunity to help
those who, throughout the world, are struggling with hunger.  One in seven, that's over 14% or 925,000,000 people in the world go hungry every
day.  By participating in the "
Buck-a-Chick" sale, for $1.00 you can purchase and decorate a "paper chick" for yourself or in honor of a friend
or family member.  They will be displayed in the church during Lent.  A dollar,
ONE BUCK, 100 pennies, is all it takes to provide a family with
a living chick.  Soon enough, the chick will begin producing eggs.  Those eggs make nutritious, protein-rich meals, and can be sold at a market
place producing income.  The result is that you are helping a family escape hunger.

REMEMBER OUR MILITARY ~ Helen, in the office, is gathering current information and pictures about family members and loved ones who
are serving in the military.  I know some are leaving for deployment at the end of May.  If you know of anyone you would like to uplift on a
regular basis while they serve, please contact the office at 879 4647 and speak with Helen.
