in the Sanctuary light fixtures.  The cost of the ladder was $814.99. Several people have been very generous
in donating $414.99 toward the purchase of the ladder.  If you would like to contribute to this project your
contribution will be greatly appreciated.

DAY CAMP - It is time to think about Day Camp 2008.  Coordinators and volunteers are needed to help.
Please contact Lori Strand at 878-0716 or Rebecca Struck at 878-0797 to offer your assistance and to have
your questions answered.

FROM THE STEWARDSHIP AND FINANCE COMMITTEE - Thanks to all members of Zion for your
continued commitment - sharing your time, talent and treasures.  The following budget information is given so
you may know the financial position of your church.  Monthly Budget amount = $19,392, March Giving =
$21,446.  Giving for the first three Sundays in April was $11,542.  We are quite a bit behind with one week
of April remaining.

REBATE WINDFALL CHALLENGE - Many Zion members will receive an "economic stimulus" check
soon.  There are many ways to use this money.  As you consider you options, we invite you to remember
your church.  Zion can certainly use a tithe of this money for purposes of continuing its mission of ministry to
the people of Zion and the Cloquet Community.  If each member who receives this money were to contribute
a tithe Zion Could:

  • Buy two whole arks of animals from Project Heifer that will go forth and multiply, improving lives for
countless families and children, passing along the spirit of faith and charity over and over again
    throughout the world!
  • Pay down the heating and fuel costs for our building!
  • Pay down our general fund in preparation for the summer!
  • Invest in much needed repairs to the church building!

What a gift you could give to your church!  The ideas listed are dreams and suggestions.  The point is,
remember Zion and the many missions of Zion as you consider your uses of this "economic stimulus" money.

If you or someone you love is hospitalized, please contact or have someone contact the Church Office.
Privacy laws prevent our ministers from examining the hospital files to determine if a member has been
admitted.  We wish to provide spiritual guidance and reflection as needed.

RECYCLE YOUR POP CANS - Recycling bins are available throughout the church for you pop cans.  Zion
has an account at Riverside Recycling Center with the money received used for youth activities at Zion.
Recycle your aluminum cans in support of Zion youth.
